Meet Grace

Meet Grace

Grace came to us as a 2-year-old rescue. She had not even developed her adult coat yet (Golden Retrievers don't get all their "feathers" until they are about 3 years old), and our vet told us that she had already had at least 2 and maybe 3 litters of puppies. She was waaay too young to have been bred, and there were no records of her medical care. We had her immunized and spayed, and for better or for worse, she became a member of our family.

Gracie is a beautiful dog that knows how to work those eyebrows to get what she wants or get out of trouble. She has systematically eaten her way through doors, door frames & knobs, furniture, and has peed on every scrap of carpet in our house. We banished her to the garage when we are away from home, and she has pulled the frames off of the garage windows, bent metal door frames, and chewed up every blanket, scrap of carpet, piece of cardboard, and rag that she can get her teeth on . . . but she is now our responsibility until "death do us part." Pet ownership is a serious commitment, and shelters are full because people of irresponsible breeders, uneducated owners, and irresponsible people who do not spay or neuter.

Support Logan's Gate and benefit an animal shelter near you!
